New inspiration

Searching through websites and books I remembered the competion of the Solar Dechatlon in Madrid, Spain. So I decided to have a look to the website of the competion to see the designs of each team. There is also a team from my bachelor university. But the design that moved me more than the others is the Odoo Project by a students team from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

It is an house composed by four transportable blocks that, when united to compose the house, interact with an external wall. In this wall you can find a series of tools, like the kitchen so that you can live and use non just the inside space but also the external space, up to weather conditions and different needs.
What fascinates me is this relationship with what is outside the building. Creating something like this design for my project can change completely my idea for the external space of the kiosk. Customers could choose by themselves where to sit, inside or outside. These two volumes create also a passage, this design could be more clear than the previous one and I could use different shingles depending on the weather conditions. For example I could use the window on car ceiling system. In which you can find a glass layer, a curtain layer and a dimming layer.

But I have a problem: I have also to think about my dimensions restrictions. So the external wall could be hollow to host a table and, above all it should be a sliding wall so that when the kiosk is close, it returns to the asked dimensions.

Probably this mechanism is too complicated also because I would like to use glass and it can be to heavy to move. So I have to think to a simpler mechanism and to lighter materials for my purpose.
